I switched to the Windjammers and haven't looked back.According to old Winchester Literature it duplicates the ballistic level of AA 20 ga factory loads when used in AA cf cases. According to my source: Federal paper or plastic cases, Federal 209 primer, 7/8 oz shot with any of the following wads: Federal pin cushion #20S1, or Remington RXP20, or Win WAA20.Replacing the SP 12 with another Rem wad may be a tad difficult. The RP 12 is also a 1-1/4 oz. wad, but is a bit shorter and would require the use of a bulky powder to get a good fit, or possibly a filler wad. The "S" designation was added later when they stitched the petals together. The RXP 20 is 1.585" long with a shot cup depth of .890" = 7/8 oz. I have a Rem chart but don't know how to post it.Hull - Remington Gun Club or STS hull. Primer - Remington STS Primer (You can substitute a Nobel Sport primer as well) Powder - 20/28. It has a bit shorter crush section than the AA-style 20 ga wads making it very useful for those who have stack height problems with other wads. I went digging in my old Lyman book and found a load with 540 powder and SP20 wads. Also some HS-6 which I've read is one of the few powders that is the same as 540.
