Somebody has already gone through the trouble of making both Cura and PrusaSlicer profiles. I've not tried the Cura one yet, but I've had great results with the Prusa one. Haven't had to touch the retraction settings. Might be a good starting point for your own profiles.

The controls for detraction are in two places, (1) Printer Settings/Extruder [Retraction] its listed as detraction speed (normally set to Zero) at which point it takes on the speed attribute of the Retraction speed, and (2) in Filament Settings/Filament Overrides, and changing the speed has an effect.
