I was watching a youtube video about the XDM 4.5 and an XDM 3.8 compact in the same caliber. The user said you could run either slide/barrel combo on either frame. Is this true? If so, you could really have 4 different guns between the two: A full size frame 4.5" A full size frame 3.8" A compact 4.5" A compact 3.8" I find this very interesting.
